Friends of the Library
The award-winning Friends of the Library has been serving the communities of Alta Loma, Cucamonga
and Etiwanda since 1972. The Friends are best known for their volunteerism,
special programs, fund raising and of course, the Friends of the Library Bookstore.
In 1996, the California Association of Library Trustees and Commissions (CALTAC) named the Rancho Cucamonga Friends of the Library as the Friends group of the year. They were recognized at the 1996 California Library Association conference. In 1997, Paul Williams, President of the Rancho Cucamonga Friends was honored at the 1997 California Library Association conference by CALTAC as the Individual of the Year for outstanding volunteer service to a library.
As community volunteers, the Friends programs are designed for every age group and interest
throughout the city. Community service organizations have supported the Friends
throughout the years to help make library services in Rancho Cucamonga special. If your
