Storytimes

Our highly popular storytimes are offered throughout the week at our Archibald and Biane library locations. Please check our calendar of events for the date and time of the storytime that interests you. Registration dates are listed in our calendar - sessions are 6-8 weeks. For more information, please call the Children's Desks at the Archibald or Biane Library.

Bouncing Babies (registration required)
Filled with songs, stories and other activities, this 20-minute storytime will get you and your pre-Toddler (0-23 months) moving and introduce your child to the exciting world of reading.

Toddler Time (registration required)
You and your two year old will enjoy stories, songs and fingerplays designed to develop pre- reading skills and support their inquisitive minds.

Preschool (registration required)
When your 3-5 year old is ready to sit independently, they can join in on the fun exploring a new and interesting book adventure each week. While you wait in the library, your child will hear stories, learn songs and play games that will strengthen their love of reading.

Pajama Storytime (walk-ins welcome)
Can't make to the library during the day? This evening storytime is open to the whole family and children are welcome to wear their pajamas. Enjoy singing songs and hearing stories designed to amuse and entertain children ages 2-8. Biane Library only.

Discovery Club (walk-ins welcome)
This program is specially designed for school-aged children 6-11. If your child is curious, adventurous, creative or looking for fun, come join us as we experience stories hands on through exploration, discovery, and creativity. Each week is a new discovery where your child might create a comic book, explore the ocean's least traveled area, or solve a mind boggling brain teaser. Discover something fun at the library!

Family Storytime (Archibald--walk-ins welcome; Biane--registration required)
The whole family can join in the stories, songs and fingerplays geared to children ages 2-8.

Family Saturdays (walk-ins welcome)
There's always something new and fun when you visit the library on a Saturday afternoon. Whether enjoying stories and s'mores, talking with a real astronomer or participating in a scavenger hunt, learn about the world around you in this fun program. Biane Library only.
